We’ve been thinking about getting a pooch for quite a while. Before the kids arrived on the scene, our excuse was that we already had four cats. Then cat heaven got two more residents. Then it was that our house was too small for the kind of dog we wanted. Only 667 square feet which is less then idea for the Australian Shepherd. Nope, not what you want for a four-legged friend. But then we bought a new house with lots of space inside and outside, with a fence even. The babies began arriving and we thought, let’s wait until their a little older and ready for the active puppy onslaught of licks, nips, and all around craziness. Last week, we came to the conclusion that they were older and there were no other excuses to contend with.
So, I’d like to welcome Daisy Mae. Our little bundle came from two, nearly purebred Aussies (a bit of blue healer is the the mix). But, the more I look at her, the more I think a border collie might have jumped the fence for a late night rendezvous. No matter. She’s aces in our eyes. Get’em Daisy Mae!
